01
Greater freedom to respond to opportunities
FIVE LAKES CHURCH
A dedicated initiative to accelerate debt retirement and
create greater freedom for future ministry.

PART 01 — ONE GOAL
At Five Lakes Church, we believe freedom isn't just something we experience spiritually. It's something we steward. Over the last several years, God has done incredible things through our church family. We've seen lives changed, people baptized, ministries expanded, and new opportunities opened to reach our community. As we continue moving forward, we're launching the Freedom Fund, a dedicated initiative focused on one goal:
Accelerating the retirement of our building debt.
Five Lakes Church is financially healthy and positioned for ministry. The Freedom Fund exists because many people have asked how they can help us move faster toward a debt-free future.
This isn't a cry of need. It's a call to vision.
PART 02 — STRATEGY
In 2025, Five Lakes Church made the strategic decision to retain our McCord Road property. While that meant carrying more of the debt from constructing our Mitchaw Road campus, it also preserved valuable space for ministry and positioned us for future opportunities.
Today, our remaining building debt is approximately $6.2 million.
The Freedom Fund provides a dedicated opportunity for those who feel led to help accelerate debt reduction beyond their regular giving.
Every gift designated to the Freedom Fund goes directly toward reducing debt principal.

This initiative is not about buildings for the sake of buildings. It's about stewardship.
The spaces God has entrusted to us create opportunities for worship, discipleship, outreach, and life change. They are valuable tools that support the mission, but they are never the mission themselves. People are the mission.
As we look toward the future, reducing debt creates greater flexibility to respond to opportunities, invest in ministry, and continue reaching people effectively.
Buildings are tools. Ministry is the mission.
The Freedom Fund helps us steward both well.
PART 03 — MISSION MINDED
Debt reduction is not the mission. People are.
But reducing debt creates greater freedom for future ministry:

01
Greater freedom to respond to opportunities

02
Greater freedom to invest in the next generation.

03
Greater freedom to serve our community.

04
Greater freedom to say "yes" when God opens new doors.
Every dollar directed toward debt reduction strengthens our ability to
focus resources on ministry in the years ahead.
PART 04 — SHARED COMMITMENT
The Freedom Fund is completely voluntary. We're not asking everyone to give a certain amount.
We're simply inviting our church family to prayerfully consider whether God would have them participate. For some, that may be a large gift. For others, it may be $10.
What matters is not the amount. What matters is a shared commitment to the future God is building through Five Lakes Church.

If the Freedom Fund receives more than is needed to fully retire our current building debt, any remaining gifts will be designated for future building and expansion projects that support the long-term mission and vision of Five Lakes Church. Buildings are tools. Ministry is the mission. Any future Freedom Fund investments will continue to reflect that commitment.
