Learning to Love God and Love Others | Lionheart Update

Some of the biggest lessons happening at Lionheart Children’s Academy have very little to do with ABCs and 123s.
This month, Lionheart children have been learning what it looks like to know God, understand His love for them, and share that love with the people around them.
One of those lessons reached right across the street to our neighbors at Central Trail Elementary. Lionheart families collected and donated school supplies to help Central Trail teachers and students begin the new school year well. For even the youngest children, it became an opportunity to learn that generosity can be simple. We can see a need, share what we have, and care for our neighbors.
That same foundation is being built inside the classroom each week. During Spiritual Time, children are learning Bible stories, worshiping together, and discovering truths about who God is and who He created them to be. After one activity centered on Psalm 139:14, children made mirrors reminding them that “God made me wonderful” and “God loves me.” One child looked into the mirror and said, “God loves me, and Jesus loves me.”
And as 12 Pre-K students prepared to head to kindergarten, Lionheart celebrated their graduation by giving each child a Bible signed by their teachers. Families gathered together as the children worshiped, heard about the love of Jesus, and excitedly began flipping through their new Bibles.
These are the kinds of moments that make our partnership with Lionheart Children’s Academy so meaningful.
Five Lakes exists to Love God, Love Each Other, and Get the Message Out, and throughout the week, that mission is being lived out by some of the youngest people on our campus. Children are learning that God loves them, families are being connected to biblical truth, and together they are finding practical ways to show the love of Jesus to our community.
We’re grateful for the Lionheart teachers, staff, children, and families who are helping make that impact possible.
