Faith Taking Root at Lionheart

There is a lot to celebrate at Lionheart Children’s Academy this summer, but one update especially stopped us in our tracks: 14 school-age kids have chosen to give their lives to Christ!

Throughout the summer, Lionheart teachers have been intentionally creating opportunities for children of every age to learn about Jesus, ask questions, and discover what it means to follow Him.

Each week, Ms. Heidi shares the gospel with Lionheart’s school-age kids. Recently, she used the Bridge Gospel illustration to help them understand that Jesus died for our sins and made a way for us to have a relationship with God. That simple lesson opened the door to some big questions about sin, forgiveness, and just how far God’s love reaches.

One child asked, “Even the biggest thing? What if we hurt someone, will He still forgive us?”

It is exactly the kind of question we love knowing kids feel safe enough to ask.

And those conversations are happening throughout the Academy. Pre-K students are opening the Bible and discovering stories like Baby Moses. Even Lionheart’s youngest children are being introduced to Jesus through Roar and Meow Times, Bible stories, songs, motions, and monthly memory verses.

This is why our partnership with Lionheart Children’s Academy means so much to us.

Five Lakes Church wants to be a place where people of every generation can encounter Jesus and take their next step in faith. Through Lionheart, that mission is reaching children and families throughout the week, right here on our campus.

We celebrate with those 14 kids who made a decision to follow Jesus this summer, and we are incredibly grateful for the Lionheart teachers and staff who are faithfully planting seeds, answering questions, loving families, and helping the next generation know Jesus.

That is impact worth celebrating!
