LifeWise Sylvania Launches at Five Lakes Church
We’re excited to share that beginning October 1, Five Lakes Church will host LifeWise Sylvania, a Bible education program designed for public school students, during school hours!
What Is LifeWise?
LifeWise Academy is a released-time religious instruction program that allows students to receive character-based Bible education during the school day. Thanks to Ohio law, students can leave school for this program with parental permission, as long as it’s off school property and privately funded.
Here in Sylvania, Central Trail Elementary students in grades 2–5 will have the opportunity to attend LifeWise every Wednesday during their lunch/recess period. Students will travel by bus to Five Lakes Church where they’ll enjoy learning Bible stories through fun games, activities, and discussion—all connected to character traits that can be applied in everyday life at school, at home, and in the community.
Why It Matters
LifeWise provides an incredible opportunity for students to experience God’s Word in a practical and engaging way, right in the middle of their week. It’s a chance for kids to grow in both faith and character while building a strong foundation that will impact their lives for years to come.

Enrollment is open now! Families with students at Central Trail Elementary can sign up by visiting lifewise.org/sylvaniaoh.
Get Involved
In addition to enrolling students, there are also ways for you to get involved with LifeWise Sylvania. Volunteers are needed to help in the classroom, assist with activities, and support the team that makes each week possible.
