Session focuses on the connection between spiritual and mental health. Mental health without spiritual health is humanism. Mental health connected to spiritual health is God designed wholeness.

Session focuses on daily habits that build a lasting faith.

Meet the Speakers | Women's Weekend

Betty Bassett

Betty Bassett has been on staff at Five Lakes Church since 2012 and has served as Outreach Director since 2015. She also serves in the Student Ministry as the administrative assistant. For rest, Betty enjoys working out and playing with her two grandbabies. Her favorite quote is, "If you think you can or think you can't, either way - you're right."

Becky Rydman

Becky is married to Tony and they have two amazing kids and one spunky dog. Her career life includes teaching, pastoring children and students, speaking and writing. She currently serves as the Church Life Pastor at Five Lakes Church. 

Cynthia Wagenhauser

First and foremost, Cynthia Wagenhauser is a daughter of the King of Kings. As such, she lives according to who God says she is. She is dearly loved and created in His image to do good works. Some of her favorite work has been being a wife to Mick Petersen, and mom to Anna Garrison, Chloe Wagenhauser and Christian Wagenhauser. Raised in a Toledo, Ohio, she attended Christ the King Catholic Church and school and St. Ursula Academy. She is a graduate of Lourdes University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Gerontology. She continued her studies at Eastern Michigan University, where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a specialization in Children and Family.Cynthia has practiced social work for 33 years focusing primarily on women,  children and families. Many of those she has worked with have found strategies for living a life of freedom and victory over abuse, low self worth, depression and anxiety.Cynthia is the owner of Deep Roots Family Therapy in Toledo. At her practice, she specializes in working with those who have a parent, sibling, child or spouse with mental illness, and those experiencing emotional/physical abuse or anxiety. She especially enjoys working with Christians to reacquaint them with the truth of who they are in Christ.

Savannah Marten

Savannah Marten has served in the pro-life movement for 12 years. Savannah is the Executive Director at Bella Vita Network, which houses Soul Purpose, The Pregnancy Center and The Haven. Savannah has been involved at the center since 2012. She previously served as the Executive Director of the Pregnancy Center and as the outreach and fundraising director. Savannah attended the University of Toledo and studied communications.Savannah’s passion for Pregnancy Centers stems from her deep love for the Lord and also helping to encourage women in their worth and to live in purity. “If one person would have told me I could walk in purity as a young college woman, I would have believed them; but there was no one saying that to me.” She knows advocating for the unborn is close to the heart of God, and through her work at Bella Vita, she is able to see the power of a community providing sustainable avenues of parenting for families.Being a bridge for our community to love the women Bella Vita serves is one of her greatest passions. She enjoys speaking to groups on dreaming with God about our city, walking in our identity, and loving people the way God intended. She also enjoys working with organizations in board training and strategic planning. She was recently appointed by Senator Matt Huffman to serve on the Commission on Infant Mortality.Savannah is married to Ryan, her best friend and the love of her life. Savannah adores her dog Louie, cruising around town in her Jeep, anything Toledo, worship, and cooking and enjoying meals around the table.
